Patagonia is the best known region of Argentina and for many people a country of its own. Its unspoilt beauty, its uninhibited vastness and remote wild lands have been for long time the destination of explorers, adventurers, Welsh pioneers and of anyone wishing to experience the overwhelming greatness of nature. Diversity is still a characteristic of the region. From the northwest beloved ski mecca of Bariloche in the Rio Negro province, to the magnificent lake district, crossing to the stunning Atlantic area of Peninsula de Valdez in the Chubut province where sea lions, penguins and whales gathered around this beautiful bay and most important continental outpost going further south to the unique glaciers region east of Santa Cruz to reach the southernmost province of Argentina Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire) the wildest waste land of all from where Antarctica seems to be almost within reachable distance.
